Garment Conditions

Please remember that when you rent from Dress to Impress Rentals, you are renting a garment — not purchasing it brand new.

Once a garment has been rented for the first time, it becomes a pre-loved rental garment. As a result, some dresses may show minor signs of previous wear. This is a normal part of designer dress rental and does not mean the garment is not in good rental condition.

If you are looking for a garment in brand-new, never-worn condition, rental may not be the right option for you.

We want you to know exactly what to expect before booking, so please read the condition rating and dress description carefully, including any specific flaws that have been noted.

A NOTE ABOUT FLOOR-LENGTH GOWNS

Due to the nature of wearing floor-length gowns, slight discolouration around the bottom hem can occur, particularly on well-loved styles.

We do our best to clean and maintain every garment between rentals, but some minor signs of wear may remain.

OUR RENTAL CONDITION RATINGS

Every garment is given a condition rating based on its current rental condition.

✨ PERFECT

Brand-new or in never-worn condition.

You may even be the very first person to wear this garment!

💕 VERY GOOD

In near-perfect rental condition with minimal signs of wear.

The garment has been worn previously but remains in excellent condition.

🌸 GOOD

A well-loved rental that is still gorgeous to wear!

This piece has been part of our collection for a while and may show some minor signs of previous wear. Any notable flaws will be mentioned in the individual dress description.

💗 LOVED

A well-loved piece that has been enjoyed by many of our customers.

This garment may show more noticeable signs of wear, and the condition will reflect this. The rental price has been adjusted accordingly, and any known flaws will be noted in the individual dress description.

Please only book a Loved garment if you are comfortable with it showing signs of previous wear.
